A message from Jock:
Hi, I’m Jock and I’m eight years old. I’ve been doing Tae Kwon Do since I was four. My rank is black tip – just one belt away from black belt. But I have to wait and train a lot more before I move up to black belt.
My favourite part of martial arts is the release techniques. They are fun to practise on my brother and my Dad. I’ve only got my Dad in the groin once by mistake. Sorry about that Dad.
I love playing cricket too, but tennis is my thing these days.
Anyway, sign up for my weekly emails and I’ll show you some great release techniques and smart safety tips and self defence for kids. I’ll be talking to you soon.
From
Jock
Hi, I’m Sacha, Jock’s Mum. Jock and I have been doing Tae Kwon Do together now for a number of years. I went along to watch Jock and his brother Mac and one day it dawned on me, that if I’m going to sit here, I might as well join in. Well, I loved it. I loved the self defence techniques and the patterns. I enjoyed the fitness and the stretching. It wasn’t long until I had set the goal of achieving a black belt.
So when Jock said he wanted to have a website teaching self defence for kids, I thought it was a great idea. He would 1) help kids learn to defend themselves and 2) learn how to build a website. Wow! How could I say no. So that’s how Self Defence for Kidz got started.
Jock has done a great job with the videos and I know you’ll find them useful (biased mum). Together we’ve put together some great information based on our martial arts experience, training, seminars, workshops and numerous other resources.
Our message is simple. Teach your kids to:
1) Be alert about their safety
2) Give them the skills to defend themselves
3) Keep it current and up to date with regular reminders like Jock’s weekly videos
Your kids safety is too important to be covered once and then forgotten. Sign up and get Jock’s weekly emails with release techniques and important safety tips.
